Daisy Macias — Ontario Mayor

About

Meet Daisy Macias

Daisy Macias was born and raised in Ontario. So were the values she leads with. Her parents immigrated from Mexico in search of the American Dream and chose to build their family here: her father worked as a painter, her mother stayed home to raise their children, and together they taught Daisy that hard work and looking out for your neighbors are the same thing.

Today Daisy works as a Community Relations Manager, where she actively supports bringing more attainable housing to lower-income neighborhoods. After 35 years of living in Ontario, she serves on the Ontario City Council, fighting for public safety, getting potholes filled, and helping bring the city's homeless counts down.

She is only the third woman to serve on the City Council in Ontario's 144-year history. If elected, she would be the first woman and the first Latina ever to serve as Mayor of this city.

That perspective is the whole point. Daisy understands what Ontario residents need and what they care about, because she grew up here among them. She sees a brighter future for Ontario — and getting there takes a leader who truly understands the community she came from.

"My parents came here for a better life and built it in Ontario. I'm running so the next family can do the same."
